Our comprehensive screening process for live-in carers includes the following steps:
1. Care Expert Selection: Our team of care experts carefully selects live-in carers based on their suitability for your specific role. This ensures that you are matched with a carer who meets your unique requirements.
2. Safeguarding Course: Guardian Carers requires all housekeeper carers to complete a Safeguarding course. This course equips carers with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure the safety and well-being of their clients.
3. First Aid Certification: All live-in carers registered with Guardian Carers must possess a valid first aid certification, which is no more than 3 years old. This certification ensures that carers are trained to handle emergency situations and provide immediate medical assistance if needed.
4. Employment Verification: We conduct thorough checks to verify the previous employment history of our live-in carers. This helps us ensure that they have relevant experience and a proven track record in providing in-home care.
5. Face-to-Face Interview: Each live-in carer undergoes a face-to-face interview with an in-home care professional. This interview allows us to assess their communication skills, professionalism, and suitability for the role.
6. Verbal Reference Verification: We conduct a comprehensive verification process for the verbal references provided by the live-in carers. This helps us gather insights from previous employers or clients about the carer’s performance and reliability.
7. DBS or Police Check: Guardian Carers conducts a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) or Police check for all live-in carers. This check ensures that the carers have a clean criminal record and can be trusted to provide safe and reliable care.
By implementing these rigorous vetting procedures, we strive to ensure that our live-in carers meet the highest standards of professionalism, competence, and trustworthiness.
