The distinction between EFAW and FAW:
This training program is appropriate for individuals aged 16 and above who may be required to administer first aid in response to a variety of accidents, injuries, and illnesses that may occur in their workplace.
Both of these training programs are valuable in a work setting, however, it can sometimes be challenging to determine which one is most suitable for you and/or your organization.
The primary responsibility of an emergency first aider is to sustain life and prevent the situation from deteriorating while awaiting the arrival of emergency services. A first aider should possess the ability to identify and assess injuries and illnesses, in addition to knowing how to provide emergency treatment and life support.
To summarize:
EFAW (Emergency First Aid at Work) training empowers a first-aider to administer immediate first aid to an individual who sustains an injury or falls ill during work hours.
FAW (First Aid at Work) training encompasses EFAW and additionally equips the first-aider with the skills to provide first aid for various specific injuries and illnesses.
First Aid training for emergencies in the workplace and First Aid training for general workplace incidents.
